'Visions' is a lovely, compact cultivar which features a foliage mound (to 9" tall) of bronze-green and thick panicles of frosted, rasberry flowers on 12-15" tall stems in late spring to early summer.
Gorgeous with light pinks and whites, and petite enough for the front of a shady border.

The chinensis species is more sun and drought tolerant than other Astilbes, also the last to bloom.
